Bye Bye Tooth Number 2!
I think Jake and I get just as excited as Maddy when she loses a tooth!
We were just getting ready to put the girls in bed one night last week, when she showed us how loose her tooth was. I think it may have been a tactic for staying up later, and it sure worked! We were all huddled around her to take a look and feel how wiggly it was. When she would twist it it would stay crooked, so it was definetly ready to come out. She started running back and forth to the bathroom to check out her pulling progress. The tooth was literally just hanging there, but she couldn't quite get a grip on it.
Finally she gave up and let me help. I only had to pull one once and it was out. It was very surreal pulling someone else's tooth out. There is really nothing that can compare to that sensation. Takes me back to my own 6 year-old memories!
She wasn't as shocked as she was loosing her first tooth, which was a relief. All she could talk about was showing her friends and the school nurse the next day. I guess that is a big deal in first grade! She was all smiles that night as she put the little tooth under her pillow for the Toothfairy.
Not such a little girl anymore....
